Asian stocks are on the up today, buoyed by the delay on Trump’s signing on tariffs as well as news that those tariffs will possibly exempt Canada and Mexico. The trade rhetoric continues to be the driver of market sentiment this week, and we’ll have to wait until the US session to get more news on that.
Elsewhere in Asia, the Hang Seng is up by 1.25%, Shanghai Composite up by 0.18%, CSI 300 up by 0.55%, Kospi up by 0.89%, and earlier Australia’s ASX 200 closed the day higher by 0.69% at 5,942.90.
